I’ve always been passionate about all animals and their welfare. I have many pets of my own, including 3 spoilt cats and a German Shepherd Dog!

I volunteer for the RSPCA weekly walking dogs, cuddling cats and socializing all sorts of animals. I love it and it helps me keep up to date with any changes to recommendations on vaccinations and pet care. Of course, it’s a very rewarding experience to see these animals blossom and find new loving homes.

In my spare time I enjoy running, swimming and playing hockey. Generally, I like to keep active.

I am also a qualified primary school teacher (I like to say I’ve retired!) and a swim instructor!
